Nebraska U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts has declared his support for Karrin Taylor Robson in the 2026 Republican gubernatorial primary race in Arizona.
In his endorsement statement, Sen. Ricketts, a former governor of Nebraska, highlighted Taylor Robson's business experience and policy stances on government spending, economic development, and border security. His backing, he said, is consistent with President Trump's prior endorsement of Taylor Robson's campaign.
"Karrin is a proven conservative outsider who understands how to grow the economy, secure the border, cut government waste, and protect the American dream for the next generation," Ricketts said in a statement. He characterized Taylor Robson as bringing "real-world experience and common sense" to the race.

In response to the endorsement, Taylor Robson emphasized her policy priorities, which include government reform, border security, and assistance for law enforcement. "To have the support of both Ricketts and Trump is an honor," she said.

According to her favorability ratings, 28% of people think favorably of her and 29% think negatively, indicating that there is still a lot of space for improvement as the campaign goes on.
Ricketts specifically highlighted Taylor Robson's positions on law enforcement funding and public safety initiatives. He stated that she is "the only candidate in this race committed to funding the staffing and equipment we need to keep our communities safe."
