Karrin Taylor Robson's (R) 2026 Arizona gubernatorial campaign has lost three Trump-affiliated advisors just weeks after the President endorsed her primary opponent, Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ), without retracting his endorsement of Robson.
According to comments from campaign insiders to Axios, Trump's former campaign strategist Tony Fabrizio, former campaign manager Chris LaCivita, and Chris Grant, a super PAC MAGA Inc. leader, have departed Robson's campaign, where they acted as advisors.
The supposed rationale was that Robson, who had Trump's backing since December, allegedly waited to run campaign ads touting her endorsement by Trump until after he had endorsed Rep. Biggs in late April, despite promising to air them earlier, much to the chagrin of Fabrizio, Grant, and LaCivita.

"It takes special skill to botch a GOP primary with the Trump endorsement, but unfortunately, that's what this candidate has single-handedly assured," a campaign insider told Axios, adding, "It's basically the greatest self-own in GOP political history."
As a result, said another campaign insider, "[Robson] won't listen to anyone else, so she can run her own campaign now."
At the end of March, Arizona State Senator Jake Hoffman (R-15) took to X (formerly Twitter) to request that Trump drop the Robson endorsement, citing her previous work as a lobbyist for Chicanos Por La Causa Action (CPLCA).
"There is NO EXCUSE for a 'Republican' candidate for governor having lobbied for this radical, far-Left organization," Sen. Hoffman said in his lengthy post, further claiming that Robson "surrounds herself with [people who] are Never-Trumpers who celebrate the lawfare against you, and district court judges that are trying to destroy [Trump's] agenda."
For evidence, Sen. Hoffman provided a clip from an interview Robson had conducted with Chris Hook, in which she said, "There are fashion dos, and there are fashion don'ts. Trump used to be a fashion do, and now, overnight, he has become a fashion don't."
The Arizona Republican gubernatorial primary is still not until next August, but the news about it is already hot.
