Inauguration Day

It's Inauguration Day, and the day Republicans (most Americans) have waited for is finally here. Today is Martin Luther King Day, and President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.

It will be colder than an ice box in Washington, D.C., but that is OK for MAGA, who has braved the weather and traveled to the Capitol to see President Trump take the oath of office.

The who-is-who of National Republican politics, including dozens of senators and representatives from Georgia are in the nation's capitol this week.

Soon-to-be Secretary of State, Senator Marco Rubio showed up late, but still found time to come up to me and recite one of his trademark and corny personal digs in his feeble attempt to poke fun at me to my wife on his way out.

While he tries to be funny, I do have to give him credit for having one of the best Tony Montana accents.

Without telling too much about how his new gig will play out in the coming weeks and months, I can tell you that his media publisher will not skip a beat, and will be making some of those state trips abroad as part of the traveling press (wifey still has final say on this).

The Agenda

President Donald Trump has vowed to reverse all of President Biden's tragic and ill-advised presidential mistakes, including putting an end to the open border crisis the he created.

Rep. Marjory Taylor Greene reminded Americans that President Trump will take on the Mexican drug cartels as soon as he takes office.

"The war on the cartels begins tomorrow. Time to protect our Homeland," stated Rep. Greene on "X."

President Trump is reported to be about to drop 100+ executive orders on Day 1.

The Dance

President Donald Trump performed his trademark shuffle dance on stage at his inauguration rally with The Village People.

The Cold

Washington is not the only place that is enduring a deep freeze. Much of the country, including good ole Arizona. Well, at least in the mountains.

Schweikert Looks Out for America's Dogs

Representative David Schweikert (R-AZ) has introduced a bipartisan bill to require food products to include xylitol warnings to protect pets.

Xylitol is an additive commonly found in candy, baked goods, and vitamins used to replace sugar, but it is lethal to dogs when consumed.

Thus, Rep. Schweikert's bill would amend the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to require foods with xylitol to have clear labels and warnings about the chemical's lethality to pets or otherwise be mislabeled and pulled from the market, along with pet-proofing the containers for such products.
