Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) discussed the recent ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, negotiated by President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump, in a recent appearance on One Amerca News Network's Real America. He said Trump deserved the credit and that world leaders are aware of his return to office and are acting accordingly.
One American News shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter), where host Dan Ball expressed dislike of the ceasefire's conditions. Namely, 33 hostages held by Hamas will be freed in exchange for 1,000 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

Rep. Crane agreed the deal was "lopsided, but again, I met with several of the hostages' family members, and we have committed to do everything we can to bring those guys home."
Additionally, he echoed comments from incoming Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in saying that "we can still kill or capture those terrorists in the future, and I do believe that is what President Trump and Pete Hegseth will be laser-focused on."
After all, Rep. Crane reminded Ball that Trump has promised strong action against Hamas, "and everybody around the world who is kissing President Trump's read end right now knows that he is a man that if he says something, he will do everything in his power to accomplish it."
Ball then played a clip where Biden was asked if he or Trump deserved the credit for the ceasefire agreement, to which Biden responded, "Is that a joke?"
The Arizona Congressman said he was "glad" Biden is leaving the White House, "but let's make no mistake about it: world leaders, everybody from [President Volodymyr] Zelensky in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un, and everybody else around the world that we need a strong leader for has definitely taken note, and they are going to be conducting their business and their behavior a lot differently now that once again, we have a strong commander in chief."
In June, Crane had previously condemned Biden as "a complete fool" on the world stage, as adversarial leaders have been emboldened during his presidency after Russian ships were spotted near Cuba.
