Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) is making waves on social media with sharp criticism of Governor Tim Walz (D-MN), accusing him of overseeing what Biggs calls "shady schemes" involving stolen taxpayer money.
The controversy focuses on fraud allegations in Minnesota's child care assistance programs, which help low-income families pay for daycare and early education.
Biggs, who represents Arizona's 5th Congressional District, posted on social media, claiming that people in Minnesota's Somali community stole over $100 million from American taxpayers. He also pointed out that Minnesota doesn't require voter ID, suggesting the state has lax oversight.
When Governor Walz posted that "Minnesotans have no tolerance for fraud," Biggs responded by calling him a hypocrite. Some officials are now calling for Walz to be prosecuted and removed from office.

The story gained traction after a 43-minute video went viral over the weekend. In it, investigative journalist Nick Shirley and a Minneapolis resident visited several child care centers supposedly run by Somali immigrants.
They found that many facilities appeared closed despite posted signs indicating they were open, and staff at other locations refused to speak on camera.
One location particularly stood out, a building with a misspelled sign reading "Quality Learing Center", where the word ‘learning’ is misspelled. According to the video, this center claimed to serve 99 children and received approximately $4 million in state funding.
Federal Investigators estimate that Minnesota received $18 billion in federal funding since 2018 for these programs. They concluded that up to half of it, possibly $9 billion, may have been stolen through fraudulent schemes.

“Tim Walz sat idly by while billions were stolen from hardworking Minnesotans," Biggs wrote on social media. "What Walz refused to address for SEVEN YEARS, Nick Shirley uncovered in ONE DAY."
FBI Director Kash Patel announced the agency has sent additional personnel to Minnesota to investigate how these resources were distributed and used.
"The FBI believes this is just the tip of a very large iceberg," Patel wrote. "We will continue to follow the money and protect children, and this investigation very much remains ongoing."
Governor Walz has pushed back against these allegations, though the investigation continues.
With billions of dollars potentially at stake and political tensions rising, all eyes are now on Minnesota as federal agents work to uncover the truth behind these explosive claims.
