Trump Brokers Ceasefire
US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have brokered a partial ceasefire deal between Ukraine and Russia and agreed to schedule future negotiations for a full ceasefire.
Presidents Trump and Putin reached the agreement during a highly anticipated phone call between the two leaders.
“My phone conversation today with President Putin of Russia was a very good and productive one,” said Trump.
Does Texas have a constitutional right to defy Supreme Court on protecting its border?
Putin and Trump’s conversation follows Ukraine’s acceptance of a 30-day ceasefire plan proposed by Trump and negotiated by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz.
Trump proposed the same ceasefire deal to Russia, which the latter conditionally rejected due to “a number of significant points” regarding Ukraine’s rearmament, restrengthening, and refusal to acquiesce to Russian demands.
Following Russia’s ceasefire deal rejection, Trump proposed a partial ceasefire plan featuring the cessation of strikes on energy infrastructure between both Ukraine and Russia for 30 days.

Representative Andy Biggs: No taxpayer dollars for propaganda. Defund NPR and PBS.
Representative Eli Crane: Last month, we learned from @JustinRGoodman that Anthony Fauci authorized more than $240 million of taxpayer resources for 'Transgender Animal Testing.' Thankfully, the Trump administration has already cut millions from these disgusting programs. Let's keep it going.
Representative Juan Ciscomani: Great news! @CBP's Tucson soft-sided processing facility is shut down. Our U.S. Border Patrol agents can now be reassigned to frontline duties along the border, as their mission mandates—getting them back to the jobs they signed up to do!
Representative Abe Hamadeh: Doing what Biden REFUSED to do, President Trump pushed aside red tape and bureaucracy and gave an innovator the greenlight to bring these stranded astronauts home. What an incredible accomplishment by @elonmusk and Space X. Welcome back to Earth, Nick, Suni, Butch, and Aleks!
Representative Greg Stanton: Chief Justice Roberts is correct. Our founding fathers knew an independent judiciary—separate from politics—is necessary for our democracy to succeed. Anything else moves our country towards authoritarianism.
Representative Yassamin Ansari: Stripping funding from HUD's Continuum of Care program will force thousands of people into homelessness across the country. My colleagues and I are urging Secretary Turner and HUD to fund critical programs that address housing insecurity.
Governor Katie Hobbs: Arizona is grateful for the courageous service of Navajo Code Talkers and all Tribal members who have stepped up to serve our country. Actions to erase their contributions are an affront to all who support our military and want to preserve our history.
AZ Attorney General Kris Mayes: President Trump’s decision to fire two FTC commissioners is an illegal power grab that undermines the agency’s independence—yet another example of executive overreach by this administration.
State Senator Janae Shamp: We have been given a mandate by the citizens of Arizona and the Republican Majority intends to honor it!
State Senator Jake Hoffman: BOOM! President Trump’s approval rating is the highest it’s ever been—47% and climbing! The American people LOVE a leader who delivers. Democrats are in shambles. CNN is full on melt down mode. America is WINNING.
State Representative Joseph Chaplik: #Scottsdale Voters: The Axon Bill is NOT dead. It's being reworked so it can be slipped into @RepTonyRivero's International Trade Committee next week. How is anyone okay with one company attempting to rewrite our state Constitution so they can build 1,900 unwanted apartments in their 15 Minute City? Axon's leadership is all over the capitol, on every floor, even after their CEO approached me using threatening words two weeks ago. Will Arizona really allow one corporation to break all the rules and bully their way to passing this horrific legislation against the will of the voters? If Axon gets their way, you will not be able to protect your city from rogue city councils, hostile zoning changes and developer payoffs.
Maricopa County Supervisor Debbie Lesko: It may be pretty cool outside now, but we all know the summer heat is coming soon! @maricopacounty has a Heat Relief Call Center and Transportation Center. Dial 2-1-1 if you happen to need assistance - or know of someone who does.
