State Senator Jake Hoffman (R-15) condemned an apparent act of porch piracy by a volunteer working for Governor Katie Hobbs' (D-AZ) reelection campaign on social media, claiming the lack of coverage illustrates the apparent double standard towards Democrats.

The Clip

The doorbell footage, posted by Turning Point Action activist Robert Contreras, shows an unidentified young woman walking into frame, reaching the door, and slipping a campaign flyer for Hobbs through it.

She then notices a package lying on the porch, grabs it, and then walks away.

Hoffman's Response

"Democrat Katie Hobbs volunteer/staffer steals a package from AZ voter after dropping campaign literature on their door. If that doesn't perfectly sum up modern Democrats, nothing does," State Sen. Hoffman posted in response to the footage, adding, "If this had been a Republican or a Turning Point door knocker, it would be wall to wall coverage by the media."

In March, State Sen. Hoffman condemned Gov. Hobbs for vetoing a bill authorizing the creation and distribution of Arizona license plates commemorating assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk, writing, "Hobbs' true colors are exposed — rabid partisanship, gross incompetence, petulant political games, and a far-Left extremism that's destroying our state."

"Katie Hobbs has been petty and partisan in everything that she has done," citing her history of appointees and extensive vetoing of "conservative bills," he continued, adding, "She is nakedly partisan, and this is why we have to make sure that there is a new governor elected."

More recently,  the State Senator condemned the surveillance company Flock for suing a man named Joshua Michael for creating a Flock Surveillance Map showing where Flock cameras and other hardware are located nationwide, using the website's own data.

Hoffman argued that the suit only made Flock look hypocritical, writing, "The company that built a 300,000-device warrantless surveillance dragnet now wants the public map of its own cameras taken down. They want to spy on every law-abiding American, while weaponizing the courts to keep you from mapping their dragnet."
