Arizona House Majority Leader Michael Carbone has announced his endorsement of Karrin Taylor Robson in the state's gubernatorial race, adding significant legislative support to her campaign.
Robson, a businesswoman who has not previously held elected office, is running against current Governor Katie Hobbs. Robson received an endorsement from President Donald Trump earlier in her campaign.
"Karrin Taylor Robson is the proven leader Arizona needs in the Governor's Office," Carbone said in a statement. "As a business executive, she understands how to cut red tape, create good-paying jobs, and strengthen our economy without expanding government."
Robson responded to the endorsement by contrasting her approach with the current administration. "Katie Hobbs has failed Arizona," Robson said. "I've spent my career cutting through bureaucracy, building teams, and delivering real results."
Robson runs a land development and economic development firm in Arizona. She has served on the Air Force Chief of Staff's Civic Leaders Group for more than 20 years.
Her campaign platform includes border security, law enforcement support, education reform, and economic development.
Campaign Support
Carbone's Legislative District 25 includes Yuma County and the western portion of Maricopa County. The area is home to significant agricultural production and houses the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, the nation's largest nuclear facility.
Robson's campaign has announced endorsements from various officials and organizations. At the national level, supporters include President Donald Trump, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and actor Rob Schneider.
In Arizona, she has the backing of state senators, representatives, and mayors from several cities, including Yuma and Buckeye. Multiple police associations and retired Air Force generals have also endorsed her campaign.
The Arizona gubernatorial election will be held in November 2026.
