Governor Katie Hobbs: Our Arizona-Mexico Commission binational committees are delivering real results to keep our region safe, healthy, and prosperous—from modernizing ports of entry to cutting-edge cross-border safety tracks. Thank you to our members for investing in our shared future!
AZ Attorney General Kris Mayes: My office will not allow predatory companies like MV Realty to take advantage of and profit from Arizona homeowners by making false promises. Press Release: azag.gov/press-release/
AZ Secretary of State Adrian Fontes: Yesterday, Secretary Fontes joined the Promise Arizona (PAZ) community for an important conversation on protecting voting rights, election integrity, and civic engagement. Thank you to PAZ and everyone who participated in this meaningful discussion on strengthening our democracy!
State Senator Jake Hoffman: STATEMENT ON GOVERNMENT MASS SURVEILLANCE Last year I drafted best-in-nation legislation and led a bipartisan coalition to rein in the privacy abuses and address the very real Fourth Amendment concerns associated with government mass surveillance technology, including those posed by companies like Flock. It is a mistake though to frame this severe privacy infringement as only a Flock problem. Flock is obnoxious and its executives are seemingly drunk on the idea of spying on every law-abiding America; however, they are simply the most controversial of the mass surveillance GovTech vendors. There are multiple other mass surveillance technologies and companies, all of which engage in essentially the same unconstitutional surveillance activity. They must all be reined in. My legislation intends to construct a framework for ensuring Arizonans have the maximum possible Fourth Amendment protections, agnostic to the specific government mass surveillance technology being deployed. I will continue the fight in the coming legislative session and will be introducing yet another best-in-nation piece of legislation to address this abuse of government power.
State Representative Alma Hernandez: As one of AZ’s staunchest pro-Israel & Jewish voices, I’ll call out BS on both sides, regardless of who does it when it comes to our community. If @Adrian_Fontes insulted Jews, I’d be on it. But that’s NOT what happened here. He is no enemy of our community & no antisemite. Stop.
State Representative John Gillette: 541 vetoes in four legislative sessions including 70+ election integrity bills, an Arizona record. Court ruled that her installing 13 agency directors without Senate confirmation violated Arizona law. The Sunshine Residential Homes pay to play scandal. AHCCCS sober living fraud over $ 2.5 billion. Housing Department fraud. Arizona's Auditor General found that the Department of Housing transferred approximately $2 million to fraudsters Repeatedly blocked Republican attempts to tighten eligibility verification for Medicaid and SNAP. (Medicaid 4 Millionaires) Lost 27% of Colorado River water agreed to California 10% cut. Largest cut ever to AZ. Failed to pass DCS clean up and child safety bills. (On average 20 Kids killed in state care per year). Partnership with CAIR, resulting in Muslim Police Advisory board. Started with a budget surplus, overspending yearly left AZ a deficit. Refused to suspend AZ gas Tax. We see her socialist priorities, lack of fraud controls. Failure to stop spending money we dont have, pushing green agenda and woke projects.
State Representative Quang Nguyen: Tenaya Lake, Yosemite National Park. Planning to pull trout out in October. Mrs and I are planning. I have successfully fished here when the kids were little.
State Representative Pamela Carter: Sextortion is now a Class 2 felony in Arizona. HB 2666, signed into law, protects our teens with real consequences. Predators need to know: we're coming after you. Re-elect Pamela Carter.
Maricopa County Supervisor Mark Stewart: Great industry and education conversation today at Intel’s Ocotillo campus about the pathways being forged in our semiconductor, aerospace and defense industries. The opportunity ahead for the East Valley is tremendous and seeing elected officials, education and industry together, we committing to preparing the workforce of the future. We are creating greater career pathways for our kids with a common goal of keeping Arizona at the forefront of advanced manufacturing and innovation. Thank you to the @chandlerchamber, @intel, @ChandlerUnified and our industry and education partners for leading this important work. @maricopacounty is ready to help remove obstacles, support innovation and create more opportunity throughout our region.
