Senator Mark Kelly: My vote against this year's defense authorization came down to priorities. While families in Arizona and across the country are struggling to afford groceries, housing, health care, and other basic necessities, this administration is asking taxpayers to spend more than $1 trillion without a clear strategy or explanation of how it makes Americans safer. More money is not a strategy, and taxpayers deserve transparency and accountability for every dollar Congress spends. We're already seeing the consequences of that kind of thinking with Donald Trump’s war in Iran. After promising to keep America out of another war, Donald Trump launched a military operation without clearly explaining the mission, the end goal, or what comes next. As a Navy combat veteran, I have complete confidence in our servicemembers. The question is never whether they can do the mission. It's whether the mission makes sense, makes us safer, and what it's going to cost. I don't believe this administration has answered those questions and we cannot write them another blank check. I’m proud of the Arizona priorities and national security provisions I helped advance in this bill, including investments at Arizona military installations, accountability for the military’s use of AI, support for next-generation technologies, and improvements for servicemembers and military families. I’ll continue working with anyone—Republican or Democrat—to strengthen our national security and support the men and women who serve our country.
Senator Ruben Gallego: Nine Arizona students just earned the Congressional Award Gold Medal. Each one logged more than 400 hours of community service. Fighting fires, feeding families, coaching kids, and looking out for the homeless. I was honored to meet with them during their trip to D.C. this week.
Representative Andy Biggs: I can't even begin to fathom how the American government waved hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied children into our country and allowed them to disappear to who knows where. Thankfully, this administration is righting that tremendous wrong and finding the missing minors. We must never let this happen again.
Representative Paul Gosar: Get a warrant. No CBDC.
Representative Eli Crane: Get a warrant.
Representative Juan Ciscomani: Great meeting with representatives from Conservatives for Clean Energy to discuss advancing American energy dominance through an all-of-above strategy. As Vice Chair of the Conservative Climate Caucus, I am proud of their continued collaboration on expanding affordable, reliable energy options for Arizonans
Representative David Schweikert: Washington should at least understand what a trillion dollars means before borrowing and spending it.
Representative Abe Hamadeh: Great to have Trump’s Special Envoy for Global Partnerships, Paolo Zampolli, stop by the office today! Real estate powerhouse, former modeling agency founder, and a true global fighter with sharp insight and unstoppable energy. Always a pleasure!
Representative Greg Stanton: We forced a vote on the bipartisan Faster Labor Contracts Act — and now it has passed the House. When workers vote to form a union, some employers try to delay a contract indefinitely by dragging their feet at the negotiating table. This bill closes that loophole. It's a win for working people.
Representative Yassamin Ansari: To mark 14 years of DACA, @RepGregStanton and I will bring together community leaders, advocates, and directly impacted individuals to discuss DACA's contributions to our economy and communities and the lived realities of Dreamers and immigrant families under the Trump Administration. Join us Monday!
Representative Adelita Grijalva: Republicans gutted public education in Arizona to fund private school vouchers. Now they want to export that failure nationwide through a private school voucher tax credit. Today, with @RepGwenMoore, I introduced the Keep Public Dollars in Public Schools Act to repeal this giveaway and keep public dollars in public schools where they belong.
