Representative Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) has introduced a congressional resolution condemning the shocking third assassination attempt on President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents' Dinner over the weekend, imploring his fellow congressmen to vote in favor of it.

Fox News's Bill Melugin posted the resolution on X, suggesting, "The idea is to see how many House Democrats will vote against it, or vote present."

The Office of Congressman Abe Hamadeh responded to Melugin's post, writing, "Political violence must NOT become America's new normal. That's why Congressman Hamadeh led Republicans in introducing a resolution condemning the assassination attempts on President Trump, honoring the heroic law enforcement officers who stopped them, and reaffirming our commitment to defending this Republic."

"We call on every Member, Republican and Democrat, to support it and send a clear message that political violence has NO place in America."

On Tuesday, the Republican National Committee condemned the silence of Amish Shah, Marlene Galan-Woods, and Jonathan Treble, three Democrats running for Arizona's 1st congressional district, on the shooting.

RNC spokesman Nick Poche suggested Shah, Galan-Woods, and Treble's refusal to speak on the assassination attempt is not surprising, as they each used hostile language against President Donald Trump and his administration before.

Hamadeh, meanwhile, called out the reactions of former President Barack Obama and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), particularly as Rep. Jeffries accused White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt of overlooking "MAGA extremists" when she condemned Democratic rhetoric as a vector leading to the Saturday night attack.

"The ability for these communists to try to alter reality is absolutely frightening," the Arizona congressman told radio host Garret Lewis, adding that it is "uncomfortable knowing that a good chunk of our county has been radicalized enough to want to and wish upon death of their political opponents."

"We have got to be bold, we have got to be courageous, and we have got to fight them head-on. That is what I intend to do."
