Representative Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ) was recently judged by the Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL) as the most effective Congressman representing Arizona during the 118th Congress (2023-2024).

Not only was Rep. Ciscomani commended for being Arizona's most effective lawmaker, but he was also ranked the 15th most effective in the House of Representatives and the third most effective among congressional freshmen, having started his first term in 2023 after winning Arizona's 6th Congressional District seat in November 2022.

Highlighted legislation included the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act, the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act, and the Critical Mineral Consistency Act, all of which Rep. Ciscomani introduced during his first term. All of these bills passed the House, and two of them were signed into law.

"It's about getting the job done," said the Arizona Congressman in his press release, adding, "I was sent to Congress by my constituents to deliver common sense, lasting results for the people of Arizona's 6th Congressional District, and that is exactly what I'm doing. Being recognized as one of the most effective lawmakers in the House during my freshman term is an honor and a reflection of that mission."

Ciscomani credited his hardball negotiation tactics in pushing his legislation through, further saying, "Whether it's pushing legislation to secure the border, support our veterans, safeguard Arizona's water, or protecting our seniors, I don't take no for an answer."

"I am proud of what my office and I were able to accomplish for our constituents in my first term, and I am keeping my foot on the pedal to do even more for our district in my second term," he concluded.

Ciscomani's CEL score significantly outperformed his nearest Arizona colleague, Representative Paul Gosar (R-AZ). CEL's system gave him a score approximately twice the value of Rep. Gosar's.
