The Daily Wire's James Lalino uncovered evidence of the Biden Administration selling off unused construction materials for the southern border wall ahead of President-elect Trump's inauguration, which earned condemnation from Representatives Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Eli Crane (R-AZ) on X (formerly Twitter).
An anonymous Border Patrol agent told Lalino that approximately a half-mile of unused wall materials are moved away from the border daily from three key locations. They will be sold at a government auction in Marana, Arizona, by Christmas.
"They are taking it from three stations: Nogales, Tucson, and Three Points. The goal is to move all of it off the border before Christmas," the agent told the Daily Wire.
Rep. Crane suggested the move by the Biden Administration is to hinder President-elect Trump's plans to finish the border wall, telling the Daily Wire that "The Biden Administration is well aware they shouldn't have reversed the construction of the border wall. If it's true they're purposefully hamstringing an incoming president, it wouldn't be shocking. Why would they want to see President Trump succeed with policies they aggressively sabotaged?"
Moreover, the Arizona Congressman said the efforts are "a direct affront to the will of the people."
"The American people gave President Trump a mandate in November, which included the fulfillment of his plans to secure the border. Any last-ditch attempt to obstruct this mandate by the Biden Administration would be a direct affront to the will of the people," Crane continued.

In his comments, Rep. Biggs also emphasized the starting bid for the unused wall sections, which is only $5, saying, "Biden, Harris, and their cronies are hard at work undermining President Trump's Administration weeks before he takes office. Selling parts for our border wall at bottom dollar is infuriatingly out of touch with the mandate delivered by the American electorate."

Last August, Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) spearheaded a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin demanding the reversal of a similar policy pursued by the Biden Administration, selling border wall parts, which he called "a brazen attempt to circumvent the FINISH IT Act, which was included in both the House and Senate FY2024 National Defense Authorization Act. The FINISH IT Act requires the Department to use these construction materials to secure the southwest border as originally intended or to transfer them to border states for that purpose."
