Today marks one year after the horrific attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7th, and commemorations have occurred throughout the United States and the world. Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), Senate candidate Kari Lake (R), and House candidate Abe Hamadeh (R) have been among those paying their respects to the approximately 1,200 Israeli civilians lost on that terrible day on X (formerly Twitter).
"Today, we solemnly remember the lives lost during the barbaric attacks on Israel's sovereignty. Now a year later, the Biden-Harris regime has failed to free Americans still held hostage. The United States stands with Israel as we fight to bring our hostages home," said Rep. Biggs.

Sen. Sinema's statement read, "As we remember last year's horrific terrorist attack on Israel, our hearts remain with the Israeli people. Israel is a beacon of hope for the Jewish community across the world, yet her existence is brutally tested every day. I stand firmly with our democratic ally as she defends herself against evil and terrorism. For a safer and more democratic world, Israel must always exist as a sovereign and secure nation. I will always remain committed to supporting that mission."

Finally, Hamadeh posted, "Today marks the anniversary of one of the darkest days in modern history, when Hamas terrorists attacked our ally, Israel, and massacred over 1,200 innocent Jews. Let’s be clear — this wasn’t just an attack on Israel, it was an attack on humanity. There are still hostages, many Americans as well… release the hostages and defeat the terrorists. America First doesn’t mean America alone, we must stand with our allies and defeat our enemies — together. I pray for peace and an end to this dark conflict."
