The assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, which killed Corey Comperatore and injured two others, has produced more questions than answers as information is uncovered, which Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) warned will make Americans distrust the Federal government's narrative of events in a recent appearance on Fox News's America's Newsroom, saying he and other members of Congress will continue investigating independently.
Rep. Crane made a second visit to the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally site with Representative Cory Mills (R-FL), both men using their experience as snipers in the military to assess how the shooting occurred.
"We are both representatives of the American people," the Arizona Congressman told Newsroom host Martha MacCallum, "The American people want answers on this, and quite frankly, they really do not trust the federal government to do this investigation properly and get them the answer. So we are going to keep trying, to help them overturn every stone and make sure that they get the truth."

MacCallum noted that former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle nor the Acting Director visited the Butler site, asking Rep. Crane how active the investigation of the shooting was.
Crane could not describe that with any certainty but reiterated that many rank-and-file FBI and Department of Justice members are "great folks," yet "our problem is the folks at the top actually being willing to release the information and not gaslight the American people."
MacCallum further pointed out that the Secret Service, via a whistleblower, "repeatedly denied offers by local law enforcement to put drones up in the air" before the rally, asking for Crane's take.
"That is another thing that we have heard," the Arizona Congressman replied, "And it is another reason that a lot of Americans are not believing the official narrative that came out. And I think as we peel back the onion, you are going to see so many more things where the reality just does not jive with the official narrative that is being put out right now by this Federal government. And that is why individuals like Cory and I need to keep our foot on the gas and make sure we are doing our own investigations."
