The bipartisan border deal negotiated by Senators Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and James Lankford (R-OK) has been made public, and Republicans are furious with the bill's contents. As a border state, Arizona's Republicans are among the most vocal in their rejection, including Representatives Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Eli Crane (R-AZ), and Senatorial candidate Kari Lake.

Rep. Biggs called the bill "the worst idea on border security ever" on X (formerly Twitter) and expressed incredulity that it could be worse than the 2013 "Gang of Eight" legislation, which included Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL).

"The Senate border bill is the worst idea on border “security”— EVER. Frankly, it makes matters worse than they already are. It is a disaster. Hard to believe, but this is even more terrible than the old Gang of Eight legislation," Rep. Biggs tweeted.

Does Texas have a constitutional right to defy Supreme Court on protecting its border?

Similarly, Biggs noticed the irony in the bill expanding the powers of Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, whom House Republicans are currently seeking to impeach.

"The Senate "border bill" significantly expands the authorities of DHS Secretary Mayorkas. We're supposed to be impeaching him, not empowering him!" he added.

Rep. Crane called the bipartisan border deal "an unserious attempt to show progress in an election year, when in reality, they bent the knee to Biden’s open-border agenda," his initial X post accompanied by a graphic calling it "a spineless sell-out" that "legitimizes an invasion."

A second tweet by Rep. Crane pointed out that the border deal would give $60 billion to Ukraine as opposed to $20 billion for the border, "And somehow still manages to propose making the situation at the border worse."

Meanwhile, Lake bashed Sen. Sinema and Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), whom she is running against for Sinema's seat.

"I care far too much about the people of Arizona to watch career politicians like @RubenGallego and @KyrstenSinema barter off their safety and economic security to fund endless wars and import new voters. I will not watch these career politicians set $118 billion of your hard-earned money on fire in a calculated attempt to codify @JoeBiden's invasion. Close the Border. Finish The Wall. Secure America," Lake tweeted.

Finally, Rep. Gosar was the most sarcastic, claiming that "the first 8499 illegals that cross the southern border each day get a free pass," exaggerating the border deal's 5,000 crossings per day cap.

"The secret to the secret 370 page senate amnesty bill is that the first 8499 illegals that cross the southern border each day get a free pass. Shhhhhh, it's a secret. How about this concept: shut the border down!" tweeted Rep. Gosar.
