State Representative Rachel Keshel: I want to start this post by thanking every single person who has supported me from the time I announced my first run in 2021 up until now. Everything you’ve done for me including praying for me, encouraging me, financially supporting my campaign, door knocking, phone calls, putting up signs, and everything in between is SO VERY appreciated! Working in the legislature has been the most difficult and emotionally wearing job I’ve ever had. Commuting to Phoenix four days per week, being away from my family, sitting in committees for hours at a time, spending a record 19 hours voting on bills on the floor, working tirelessly on legislation, spending hours on the phone with constituents when I’m in session and not in session, and hearing heart-breaking stories time and time again about hurting AZ families has been difficult. Especially for a whopping $24k per year! However, my time as LD17’s state representative these past four years has also been the honor of my life! I have been so humbled that you chose me two terms in a row to represent you at the state Capitol. I know that things didn’t go the way we wanted this election. I know many of us are still reeling from the results on Tuesday. I know many are feeling unsure about what the future holds. One thing I do know and that has NEVER changed regardless of the circumstances in my life is that God is in full control! We can rest in the fact that Jesus is still sovereign over everything: Our state. Our country. Our lives. To my family, specifically my husband, my children, and my parents: Thank you for your sacrifice so that I could serve the people of AZ. Thank you for your constant words of encouragement. Thank you for believing in me every step of the way. I love you all beyond measure, I’ve missed you and I’m so thankful to have more time to spend with you! I will end with one of my favorite quotes as a reminder that we must carry on and continue to fight for the country, the state, and the families we hold dearly: "These are the times that try men's souls. State Representative John Gillette: WE LOST A BATTLE. NOT THE WAR. Not a surprise, as incumbents never win the midterms. We had a chance, that ended with the traitor Thune and those like him. STOP REWARDING FAILURE. STOP MOVING LEFT. STOP BLAMING THE VOTERS. Democrats have their own internal battles coming over socialism, radical Islamist ideology, and individual freedom. But waiting for the opposition to implode isn't a battle plan. The Founders risked everything fighting the British Empire over taxation without representation. Today's politicians are afraid to risk a committee assignment. GROW A SPINE! Replace failed leadership. Modernize our information operations. Hold the line on the Constitution. Put country before donors, lobbyists, and political careers. WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER PEP TALK. WE NEED LEADERS WITH BACKBONE Service is not a retirement pathway, ego is a detriment and collaboration with the enemy is treason. Democrats and non voting republicans elected radical Islam, communist, woke-safespace transgender activist... Let them own it. Show them no quarter. RUCK UP. REORGANIZE. PREPARE TO ASSAULT THE NEXT POLITICAL BATTLE. NO EXCUSES. NO SURRENDER
