The results are in, and Governor Katie Hobbs (D-AZ) will serve another term, defeating Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ).

The Results

The final tabulation showed Gov. Hobbs with 58.58 percent of the vote, and Rep. Biggs second with 39.92 percent.

A Hard-Fought Battle

The polls ahead of the race gave Gov. Hobbs an advantage, with RealClearPolling giving her an average of 9.2 points ahead of Rep. Biggs based on five polls, while Polymarket and Kalshi similarly both gave Gov. Hobbs a 93-94% chance of winning.

Throughout the campaign, Biggs and Hobbs traded blows over numerous issues, with Biggs coming out swinging right after winning the primary in July by saying, "No matter what your political party is or your background, you deserve a better leader than Katie Hobbs. I'm going to work day and night to earn your vote, finding the areas of agreement we have and making sure you know I'll be a Governor for you and your family and your community."

Hobbs fired back, "Andy Biggs has spent years undermining confidence in our elections. He still denies the outcome of the 2020 election and refused to certify Arizona's electors. And he still won't admit who won the 2022 governor's race. I'll save him the trouble — I did."

In August, Biggs ripped Hobbs for not implementing the Education Freedom Tax Credit introduced by Congress under President Donald Trump, which offers individuals in participating states a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit for contributions to eligible K-12 scholarship programs.

"It's a win for families, students, and taxpayers—and it was made possible by Republicans in Congress and the Trump Administration," said Biggs, adding, "Unfortunately, Arizona families are being denied the full benefits of this program because Governor Katie Hobbs has refused to opt our state in."
