Crane Says Trump Appointees Will Reveal Truth About Trump Assassination Attempts

Ryan Routh, the man who attempted to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump in September, is set to face trial, forming the context of a discussion between Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) and One America News's Dan Ball about the two shootings, where the Arizona Congressman suggested incoming FBI Director Kash Patel and National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard will reveal everything about the attempts because "they are very committed to transparency."

"Almost half a year later, we still don't know much about Thomas Matthew Crooks. Fortunately, we are on the cusp of new leadership at our intelligence agencies. @TulsiGabbard & @Kash_Patel are committed to a culture of transparency. Here is my discussion with @DanNewsManBall," Rep. Crane said, posting the clip to X (formerly Twitter).

The discussion began with Ball noting that Routh's legal team is considering an insanity defense, leading him to ask about Rep. Crane's independent investigation into the July 13th assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump had his ear grazed, and former fireman Corey Comperatore was killed.

Rep. Crane remarked that he had reviewed the Congressional task force's final report on both shootings, saying, "I am not sure it is going to give the American people a ton of closure. We still do not know a ton about Thomas Crooks [the shooter in Butler], but I know the investigations will continue in Washington. More importantly, I know that there is new leadership coming into Washington that I think is going to be a lot more committed to giving the American people the answers that they deserve when it comes to the assassination attempts."

Ball then asked Crane point-blank if he believed "we will ever get all of the answers" about the shootings, pessimistically saying the Biden Administration would not reveal anything else.

Crane, however, remained optimistic, saying, "I do, Dan. When I look at some of the people that President Trump has selected, like Kash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard, and others, I think that they are committed to transparency and reforming the organizations that they have been appointed to."
