During Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) recent visit to Phoenix, Arizona for a campaign rally, former gubernatorial candidate and one-time rival of Kari Lake (R) Karrin Taylor Robson denounced Vice President Kamala Harris for neglecting the ongoing border crisis and its devastating effects on southern Arizona.
"This is a woman who could not get one vote for president four years ago, and now she thinks she can convince all of us that she is prepared to be the president? Give me a break," Robson began, the gloves already off.
The former gubernatorial candidate said that when Harris was named "border czar," Robson invited her to "come see the human trafficking, the drug mules, the squalor, the hopelessness. Come see our southern Arizona border communities ravaged by the invasion of illegals. In addition to the human tragedies, the economic toll on Arizonans is massive. $3 billion a year, it is costing us Arizona taxpayers."

Robson then described the severe drug and violence crises enabled by the open border, noting that "fentanyl has overtaken meth as the deadliest drug in Arizona," and Maricopa County has seen an average of three fentanyl-related deaths per day.
"Meanwhile, the violence against the Border Patrol agents and our border sheriffs has continued. It has intensified. They deal with daily assaults [and] high-speed chases... The cartels are even recruiting our kids to do their dirty work in their deadly plans, but the border czarina could not be bothered to come to Arizona to see the suffering that her administration has caused. She was too busy preparing for a promotion," Robson continued.
More startlingly, the official number of illegal aliens who have entered the country is approximately 10 million, but including gotaways, it could be as high as 16 million.
"So she either wants an open border, or she is just plain incompetent. It does not matter what title you give her. You can call her a manager, a guru, a czar, a czarina. It does not matter. When you continually fail at the only job you have been entrusted for four years, the job you were asked to do, you do not get a promotion. It is time for the American people to say, 'You're fired," Robson concluded.
