Nick Kupper Blasts Ruben Gallego's Continued Support of Graham Platner Amid Latest Scandals

State Representative Nick Kupper (R-25) is not mincing words against Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) after the latter defended Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner's latest scandal.

As previously reported, Platner has faced controversy for running a Reddit account that displayed contempt for police and rural Americans, endorsed political violence, downplayed rape and sexual assault in the military, including controversy over an alleged Totenkopf tattoo on his chest.

The latest scandal involves comments Platner previously made on the same Reddit account, including crude jokes about pleasuring himself in portable toilets and vulgar graffiti found within them.

Sen. Gallego commented on Fox News's social media post about the scandal by writing, "Did Fox News talk to any grunt or deployed Marine before posting? If the goal is to make him more relatable to veterans than mission accomplished."

State Rep. Kupper, a fellow veteran, was quick to denounce Sen. Gallego's comment, replying, "Ruben, you're literally defending this dude talking about masturbating in porta-potties? I served far longer than you did, & this creep is not relating to me. If you find it relatable, then that says even more about what a POS you are."

Platner's apparent vulgarity only worsened as another comment from his Reddit account was found, where he mocked Pfc. Ted Daniels, an American soldier who was shot four times while serving in Afghanistan in 2012 during a skirmish with the Taliban.

State Rep. Kupper's social media reply was brief but brutal: "You still want to fully support this tool @RubenGallego?"

Republican National Committee spokesman Nick Poche previously told Cactus Politics that "Ruben Gallego has lost his mind and is either too extreme or too owned by his consultants to represent Arizonans. Democrats like JoAnna Mendoza, who have trumpeted his endorsement, need to clearly answer whether they like the company they're in or reject Gallego's endorsement."
