Biggs Receives Trump's Endorsement for Governor, Vows to Pursue His Agenda

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has received President Donald Trump's endorsement in the 2026 Arizona gubernatorial election.

President Trump gave his endorsement in a Truth Social post on Monday, saying that he continues to endorse Rep. Biggs's competitor, Karrin Taylor Robson (R), praising them both.

"I like Karrin Taylor Robson of Arizona a lot, and when she asked me to Endorse her, with nobody else running, I Endorsed her and was happy to do so," said Trump, adding, "When Andy Biggs decided to run for Governor, quite unexpectedly, I had a problem — Two fantastic candidates, two terrific people, two wonderful champions, and it is therefore my Great Honor TO GIVE MY COMPLETE AND TOTAL ENDORSEMENT TO BOTH. Either one will never let you down. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Rep. Biggs issued an official response Tuesday on X (formerly Twitter), saying he is "honored" to have Trump's endorsement and reaffirmed his support for the President "since he entered politics in 2016."

"President Trump understands true leadership and knows the leadership Arizona needs to thrive," the Arizona Congressman continued, adding, "I have been grateful for President Trump's endorsement during my congressional races and am humbled he believes in my ability to put Arizona back on the right track."

As a result, Biggs continued, "When I am Governor, Arizona will support President Trump, honor the Constitution, uphold the law, and quickly become the most prosperous state in the nation."

Stephen Shadegg, Director of Americans for Prosperity's Arizona chapter, commented on the dual endorsements in a recent interview with Cactus Politics, saying that "it is the best thing for the state because it now levels the playing field in that Trump has now given the people of Arizona two choices, and now the people of Arizona get to go and look t those candidates and decide which one is best for them."

Despite Trump's continued endorsement of Robson, State Senator Jake Hoffman (R-15) publicly called for the President to drop her at the end of March, citing her supposed work as a lobbyist for a leftwing activist group in the past.

"Karrin Taylor Robson has been a registered lobbyist for clients including... in 2018, for ultra-liberal advocacy group Chicanos Por La Causa Action" (CPLCA) source: Arizona Globe," Sen. Hoffman said in a lengthy post to X, adding, "There is NO EXCUSE for a 'Republican' candidate for Governor having lobbied for this radical, far-Left organization."

"Arizona Republicans and Trump supporters demand far better than a Karrin as our nominee," Hoffman said.
