Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) wrote to FBI Director Kash Patel urging for investigations into the recent attacks on Tesla vehicles and other acts of domestic terrorism, saying, "I know that Director Patel's FBI will thoroughly investigate these domestic terror threats."
As Elon Musk's efforts to reduce the size of government through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) ramp up, Tesla, Musk's electric vehicle company, has seen instances of vandalism and arson at dealerships and on the street, with one instance of a man shooting at the vehicles in a dealership.
President Donald Trump has described the attacks as acts of domestic terrorism, and Attorney General Pam Bondi has already made several arrests.

"Of course, these despicable acts are growing in an organized way to intimidate ordinary citizens who simply own a car manufactured by Tesla. Those behind this conspiracy of violence are now trying to dox Tesla owners and are encouraging vandalism and violence," said Rep. Biggs in his letter.
Additionally, Rep. Biggs cited Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) as encouraging the attacks. Rep. Crockett recently signaled support for anti-Tesla sentiment, saying, "All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down. I have learned, as I serve on the DOGE Oversight committee, that there is only one language that the people in charge understand right now, and that language is money."
While the New York Post noted that Crockett was encouraging the selling of Tesla vehicles and dumping stocks, AG Bondi sternly warned the Texas Congresswoman that "She is an elected public official, so she needs to tread very carefully because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we are going to fight to protect all the Tesla owners throughout this country."
Rep. Biggs echoed the sentiment in his letter to Director Patel, adding, "The efforts to encourage violence and vandalism cross the line of civil protest and have morphed into an
organized effort to promote violence. We urge you to investigate and to pursue an inquiry into the domestic terrorists and those that are inciting this violence."
The Arizona Congressman had previously written to Patel calling for investigations into the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue, which was found to have hundreds of suspicious transactions and supposed donations from Russia, China, Iran, and Venezuela through straw donors.
