Kari Lake (R) is officially the Republican nominee in the Senate race for Arizona against Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) in the battle for Senator Kyrsten Sinema's (I-AZ) seat. Where she goes from here was the topic of her recent appearance on NewsMax's Sunday Report, saying she would continue her focus on Rep. Gallego's policies and emphasis on the border crisis.
"We have been hyper-focused on Ruben Gallego, the most radical liberal Democrat to ever run for any office in this country. He is trying to now moderate himself, but the problem for him is he has got a very long voting record. Ten years in Congress that have been absolutely disastrous. He has voted with Biden and Kamala [Harris] 100% of the time, he supported the open border, sanctuary cities, [and] he marched in defund the police rallies. This man is truly radical," said Lake.
Additionally, the Republican candidate stressed her campaign's angle that the America First agenda "does work for all Arizonans" regardless of political affiliation, particularly when it comes to the border crisis.
"You are talking about the border, and how bad Kamala Harris, the border czar, has been on the border. We are right here at Ground Zero [of the] wide-open border. Hundreds of thousands of people come in every month, fentanyl pouring through our state and going to all the other states, killing a young generation. And under President Trump, we did not have any of those problems, so we want to go back to those types of policies [and] I am going to help President Trump do that," Lake continued.
Host Jon Glasgow then played a clip of Trump's running mate, Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), 's recent visit to the border. In it, Vance condemned the lack of communication between Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and VP Harris, which he called "a scandal" and "a disgrace."
Lake said she disagreed with the idea there is no communication between CBP and the Biden Administration, suggesting the opposite in that Harris, as border czar, is instead purposefully allowing illegal immigrants to enter the country, citing the sale of border wall materials allowed to sit in the desert gathering dust.
"So we have got to realize the Democrat policies are destructive to everyday average Americans, and we have to make a big turnaround come November 5th," Lake concluded.
