Gosar Slams Biden's Executive Border Actions, 'Too Little, Too Late'

President Joe Biden is considering executive action to address the southern border crisis as millions of illegal immigrants have crossed since he took office. Representative Paul Gosar (R-AZ) condemned the planned actions as "too little, too late" and would fail to address the problem adequately.

"On his first day in office, Biden halted construction of the wall along the southern border and ended President Trump's successful remain in Mexico policy," Rep. Gosar began, referring to two critical policies advanced by the previous administration.

Additionally, Rep. Gosar suggested the decision by the White House is politically motivated, as "with five months before the election and polls showing Americans overwhelming disapprove of Biden's open border policies, Biden's latest politically motivated actions are too little, too late and do nothing to stop the asylum abuse, do not end catch-and-release and certainly won't do a damn thing to deport the 13 million lawbreakers who have been welcomed into our country since Biden took office."

Representative Laurel Lee (R-FL) similarly condemned the Biden Administration's executive action as "too little, too late" in a recent appearance on Fox Business's Mornings with Maria, saying, "Whatever President Biden is going to do tomorrow, he had the authority to do three and a half years ago. Instead, he did the opposite and implemented policies and allowed this utter lawlessness at our southern border that has led to where we are today, with millions of people coming into this country illegally and the myriad of problems that we see in America as a consequence of that."

April alone saw more than 180,000 encounters along the southern border, which earned additional disapproval from the Arizona Congressman in mid-May, damning Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for their refusal to pass H.R. 2, better known as the Secure the Border Act, that the House passed last May.

"Mr.  Biden's 94 executive actions on immigration and his failed, open border policies created the border invasion, and it is costing taxpayers $451 billion each year.  House Republicans passed a tough border security bill, H.R. 2, last May, but Senator Schumer and Joe Biden refuse to support it.  They would rather have a wide-open border than a safe America," said Gosar.
