'Walls Work:' Biggs Shows Effects of Border Crisis

The border crisis remains one of the most contentious issues in the 2024 Election, and Republicans continue to display its severity. Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) personally visited the border recently and posted pictures and videos of what he saw to X (formerly Twitter), saying in one that "Walls work. But our Border Patrol line agents are working nonstop to process illegal aliens and don't have the resources to patch the breaches created by coyotes."

The video was filmed near Sasabe, Arizona, and shows a large hole in the border wall cut down, supposedly by one of the Mexican drug cartels. Rep. Biggs described how such breaches are common, but as the caption above indicates, Border Patrol agents are preoccupied with processing migrants rather than sealing the breaches.

"Otherwise, we would be adding this as a deterrent. That is why a wall needs to be finished and completed, and our agents need to be able to process the line or watch the line. They cannot do it now because of Biden's border crisis," Rep. Biggs concluded the video.

An additional tweet from Biggs showed the remains of a migrant camp nearby. Not only was the camp adequately stocked, but its previous occupants left a large mess behind, for which he pointed out the irony in Democrats catering to environmentalists.

"I found a squatter camp near the Sasabe Port of Entry. I don’t know who is funding this or what the intentions of the people here are. The Left also refuses to admit how illegal immigration can take a toll on our environment," Biggs tweeted.

Finally, another video was filmed at San Miguel's Gate, approximately 100 miles from Sasabe. Biggs described the area as a major crossing point for illegal immigrants, saying it "literally used to be rare that we would see more than 20, 25 people at a time. Now, we had a group total of 300 last night. A couple of weeks ago they had groups of 700 and 800."

"That is what is going on here in Biden's border crisis right here in San Miguel, in Arizona," Biggs concluded.

At the beginning of January, Biggs was one of many House Republicans who visited Eagle Pass, Texas, to demand the Biden Administration secure the border, saying the permittance of mass illegal immigration was "consistent policy driven by this administration. We have got to take control of our border. We should not be funding the Biden Administration's prerogatives until they start taking care of making our border secure."
