screen-shot-2016-10-25-at-3-11-35-pmDemocratic state Legislator Cecilia ‘Ceci’ Velasquez has plead guilty to a misdemeanor in Maricopa County Superior Court on the previous felony counts of unlawful use of food stamps, fraud, and theft she was charged with.

The mother of five, who reached a deal with prosecutors about getting her off the hook for the felony counts, will only have to serve probation, serve 100 hours of community service, and pay court costs on top of the $1,726 she already paid back.

The $1,726 Velasquez paid back was the original amount she allegedly stole from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).(NT)

Does Texas have a constitutional right to defy Supreme Court on protecting its border?

No word yet if Velasquez will resign from her seat.
