Rep. Abe Hamadeh
Representative Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) commented on Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) giving his endorsement to Abdul Al-Sayed in a recent social media post, writing that the Democratic Party's "highest-ranking Jewish elected official is serving the party up to a communist antisemite."
Sen. Schumer threw in his lot with Al-Sayed shortly after the Democratic primary for the Michigan Senate race was called for the insurgent candidate, despite previously endorsing Haley Stevens.
"Democrats are united by a common purpose: putting a check on Donald Trump by defeating his Republican enablers and taking back the Senate. We look forward to working with Abdul and Democrats across Michigan to win this seat in November," the New York Senator said in a joint statement with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).
This is despite the fact that Al-Sayed has previously attacked Schumer, saying, "If you want your politics dictated to you by AIPAC or Chuck Schumer, then I'm not your guy."
Al-Sayed has also campaigned heavily on opposing America's relationship with Israel, to the point that he stated that "Every definition of a Jewish state ends up in some articulation of illiberal values, every single one."
"Al-Sayed has openly said he wants to take Schumer down… And Schumer just gave him full support," Rep. Hamadeh posted.
Rep. Hamadeh continued, "Marxism is devouring the Democratic Party from the inside, and its highest-ranking Jewish elected official is serving the party up to a communist antisemite."
In March, the Republican National Committee (RNC) slammed Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) for previously endorsing Graham Platner, the highly-controversial Democratic candidate for Senate in Maine.
Aside from his other controversies, including the accusation of sexual assault that led to Sen. Gallego's withdrawal of his endorsement and Platner's exit from the race, Platner had also appeared on Nate Cornacchia's podcast "Valhalla VFT" in January, which has espoused antisemitic conspiracy theories and tropes, including claims that conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated by Israel for supposedly retracting his support for the Jewish State.
