Andy Biggs Torches Fairfax County Officials for Sanctuary Policies

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) slammed Fairfax County, Virginia, officials in a recent House Judiciary Committee hearing on the County's sanctuary policies.

Rep. Biggs began by thanking Cheryl Minter for her appearance at the hearing. She is the mother of Stephanie Minter, a Fredericksburg woman who was brutally murdered by an illegal alien named Abdul Jollah in February.

"I thought it was an interesting thing when we heard that Americans care about their micro-economy," Rep. Biggs continued, referencing a remark made earlier in the hearing. "You know what they really care about? Because if you have money and you are unsafe, it is like you do not have money. You need to be safe. That is what Americans really care about."

The Arizona congressman further chastised Ranking Member Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) for calling upon members of the gallery to stand if they supported "immigrants so that they are able to make 911 calls." He added, "But you know who cannot stand up today? You know who is not here today? The victims of the crimes of those individuals that were released into the community, knowing that they had a propensity to commit these types of crimes. They are not here to answer for themselves."

Biggs named numerous illegal aliens who victimized Fairfax County residents, including Hiram Baquedano Rodriguez, an illegal alien who, in 2023, attempted to abduct a 4-year-old girl from an Annandale apartment.

Notably, Fairfax Attorney and hearing witness Stephen Descano's plea deal provisions were found by the judge, according to Biggs, to be "so offensive, they rejected them. Then a second judge rejected the plea offer."

"We could go on and on, and we could name these victims who are not here because of the policies of this Fairfax County office," Biggs concluded.

In March, the Arizona congressman viciously condemned sanctuary policies by saying, "The radical left has made it clear that they do not care about protecting U.S. citizens. They are interested in protecting illegal aliens."
