Trump, Musk Endorse Halo Composer Marty O'Donnell

Martin O’Donnell, the lead composer behind the original Halo video game trilogy, has scored an endorsement from President Donald Trump in his bid for Rep. Susie Lee’s (D-NV) congressional seat.

In a Truth Social post, President Trump shared a glowing endorsement for “America First Patriot, Marty O’Donnell.”

O’Donnell is vying to serve Nevada’s 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, but to get there, he must best Tera Anderson, Jeff Gunter, and Aury Nagy. With President Trump’s endorsement, it’s likely that it could mobilize support for him in the June 9, 2026, primary election.

“Marty is running against Susie Lee, a true Radical Left Extremist who does not represent the Values of Southern Nevada,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “Susie Lee wants Open Borders, Men playing in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, Defund the Police, and wants to take away your Second Amendment, meaning, your guns.”

O’Donnell previously ran in 2024, losing in the primary with 20.4% of the vote.

However, this time around, the president made it clear that, as a candidate, O’Donnell has much to offer for the people of Nevada.

“Marty O’Donnell is a World-Class Composer and Entrepreneur who knows the America First Policies required to Create GREAT Jobs, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote NO TAX ON TIPS, Advance MADE IN THE U.S.A., and Champion our Nation’s Golden Age,” the president expressed. “As your next Congressman, Marty will fight tirelessly to Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Strengthen our Brave Military/Veterans, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment.”

O’Donnell responded to the president, calling it an honor to receive his “Complete and Total Endorsement.”

Elon Musk also shared his endorsement, urging his social media followers to support O’Donnell’s campaign because “he’s a cool dude.”

Last year, O’Donnell credited President Trump with ending the “console wars” after announcements that Xbox exclusive like Gears of War can now be played on the Playstation 5. Halo: Campaign Evolved will be released later this year on the Playstation 5.
