Rachel Keshel Slams Thomas Massie for Alleged Ties to Soros

State Representative Rachel Keshel (R-17) is calling Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) the "messiah of the [Trump Derangement Syndrome] cult" on X after the Kentucky congressman's alleged connections to left-wing businessman and philanthropist George Soros were recently uncovered.

For context, X user Apple Lamps shared a post about the National Iranian American Council, a political action committee (PAC) that, as described in their post, is "widely viewed as the de facto 'Iran Lobby' in Washington, D.C., due to its history of lobbying for stances on behalf of, and aligned with, the Islamic Republic of Iran."

User Data Republican replied to the post, writing, "Wait until you dig into Quincy Institute," which prompted Apple Lamps to share footage of Rep. Massie speaking at a Quincy Institute event on December 4th, 2025, in acceptance of the Institute's Annual Award for Responsible Statecraft. Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) also received the award.

Politico indicates that George Soros is, in fact, the cofounder of the Quincy Institute, with cofounder billionaire Charles Koch, who is generally associated with funding conservative and libertarian causes.

In response to Apple Lamps' post, State Rep. Keshel commented, "Well isn’t this interesting. MAGA gets accused of making Trump our 'savior' but the messiah of the TDS cult, Mr. Masse [sic], has some questionable Soros Open Foundation connections. Check yourselves."

"Jesus Christ is my only savior and the Holy Spirit is giving me a whole lot more discernment than a lot of you," she added.

State Rep. Keshel is not the first Arizona Republican to call out right-leaning figures for having alleged left-wing connections, as State Senator Jake Hoffman (R-15) called out former gubernatorial candidate Karrin Taylor Robson (R) for her previous work with Chicanos Por La Causa Action last March.

State Sen. Hoffman described the group as an "Open border "immigrant rights organization" that "Fights for 'racial equity' (i.e., cultural Marxism); Opposes Trump's Border Wall; opposes citizenship question on 2020 census; and Advocates for Tuition Amnesty for illegals at AZ Public Universities."
