Voice of America (VOA) Global Media Advisor Kari Lake condemned the continued rhetoric of Democrats as acts of left-wing violence flare up in the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk's murder in a recent appearance on Newsmax's Rob Schmitt Tonight.
In Dallas, Texas, a gunman identified as Joshua Jahn opened fire on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility's sally port from a nearby building, killing two detainees and himself.
FBI Director Kash Patel said one of Jahn's spent bullets had an "Anti-ICE" message etched into it.
Sharing her interview segment on Newsmax's Rob Schmitt Tonight, Lake questioned, "we have mainstream Democrat politicians telling their voters they need to abolish ICE. What do they think 'abolish' means? Asking nicely? These politicians, with help from schools and a propaganda press, have indoctrinated a generation of powder kegs, and they keep lighting matches."
She believes that the violence "is ramping up," warning that "mainstream politicians, elected officials... are saying they want to abolish ICE. "What do they think 'abolish' means? I mean, I am trying to ask this nicely."
Lake further accused Democrats of "creating a powder keg situation with young people who, frankly, have been brainwashed and gaslighted and told that being acknowledged and accepted for merit and doing something good does not really matter in this world."
Moreover, the Global Media Advisor suggested that such radicals are indirectly groomed by teachers and peers "into thinking some of these assassins are heroes" and thus the surest way to achieve in life "is to go out in infamy."
"It is just sick what is being said," Lake concluded. "I would think that there would be a bit of calm from some of these politicians and stop attacking the hardworking men and women in law enforcement. Stop trying to turn conservatives who have a different political point of view into the enemy. It is very, very dangerous right now."
