BREAKING: Charlie Kirk Shot, AZ Republicans Urge for Prayers

Conservative political activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk has just been shot during an event at Utah Valley University. Arizona Republican officials are calling for followers to pray for him.

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) took to social media to comment on the tragedy, expressing, "I am praying for Charlie Kirk and the students at the event at Utah Valley University. We are awaiting more information." A second post shortly after read, "Pray for Charlie Kirk. Pray for his wife and young children."

"This is horrific. Please pray for Charlie Kirk May God protect him and bring a full recovery," Karrin Taylor Robson shared on social media.

Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) added, "Please pray for Charlie Kirk."

State Senator Jake Hoffman (R-15) posted, "A gunman opened fire on Charlie Kirk at a campus event in Utah today. Pray for Charlie."

Voice of America Global Media Advisor Kari Lake gave a longer statement, saying, "Charlie Kirk is a husband, father, son and friend. He is an incredible man who loves America. He has been shot in what appears to be an assassination attempt in Utah."

"I am holding Charlie, his wonderful wife Erika and their children is deep prayer. Almighty Father, Please heal our brother Charlie. Wrap your loving arms around him and bring miraculous healing as only You, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ can do," Lake added.
