Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) called for criminal investigations of the various activist groups and supposed non-government organizations (NGOs) that are organizing the recent riots in Los Angeles in a recent appearance on Fox News's Faulkner Focus.
Host Harris Faulkner discussed the apparent sources of funding for the riot gear with William La Jeunesse, which include the LA-based Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA). CHRLA had previously received money from the Biden Administration before President Donald Trump cut funding.
"We are learning that this is not really organic, that this is highly coordinated, and that there is money behind this," Rep. Biggs began, adding, "Some of it is federal grant money or California state grant money, even that has gone to these organizations. They have turned around and used it to create this actual rioting. There is no protesting anymore. This is absolutely rioting."

Faulkner noted that this constituted misappropriation of funds and asked what could be done legally in response, to which Rep. Biggs responded, "Obviously, they are using the grant money other than it was intended for sure. But you also have this notion of how they are getting people out and encouraging and fomenting the rioting. It looks like maybe they are, and if they are, that would be aiding and abetting this kind of misconduct, which is criminal conduct, and aiding and abetting is also a criminal offense. There might even be an opportunity to investigate them for conspiracy as well, because if they have organized this criminal enterprise, then that is conspiracy."
The Arizona Congressman concluded with further condemnation of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries' (D-NY) vow to unmask Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, saying, "That is an incredibly reckless approach by the Minority Leader."
"What do you see on the other side? You see the rioters, the people who are assaulting these officers, they always put on masks for anonymity, and the reason that our guys have to wear masks is because they are getting doxxed. They are being attacked. Their families are being threatened. For Hakeem to stand up and say that is incredibly dangerous," Biggs concluded.
