Kolodin Reveals Explosive Evidence of Hobbs, Mayes Weaponizing Government Against Conservatives

State Representative Alex Kolodin (R-3) has recently revealed explosive evidence of Governor Katie Hobbs (D-AZ) and Attorney General (AG) Kris Mayes weaponizing the Arizona Government against conservatives.

Specifically, Rep. Kolodin accused Gov. Hobbs and AG Mayes of secretly working with the leftwing States United Democracy Center (SUDC) to target political opposition.

As Influence Watch describes, the States United Democracy Center, founded by former Obama Administration official Norm Eisen in response to Donald Trump's challenging of the 2020 Election, has a history of opposing Republican-led voter ID laws and preventing demonstrators present at the January 6th, 2021, protest from running for office.

Additionally, documents Rep. Kolodin included in his press release suggest the group helped Gov. Hobbs run for office and was authorized "to represent interests adverse to the State of Arizona in regulatory and legal proceedings at the same time that it was representing two of its highest-ranking officials" in exchange for their "free" services.

A November 2024 article from the Daily Signal further alleged that SUDC presented Mayes with a 47-page memo in July 2023 advising her to prosecute several associates of Donald Trump, including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, and former Arizona Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward.

More egregiously, the Maricopa County Representative indicated that Hobbs and Mayes allowed SUDC to hide evidence of their relationship by destroying public records while supposedly acknowledging the illegality of the destruction.

"Governor Hobbs and Attorney General Mayes have betrayed Arizonans by allowing radical, dark-money activists to infiltrate and weaponize Arizona's government," Kolodin said in his press release, adding, "This corrupt collusion must be exposed. The people deserve answers, transparency, and immediate accountability."

In mid-April, another Arizona Democrat, State Representative Anna Lynn Abeytia (D-24), supposedly failed to file mandatory campaign finance reports, failed to participate in a February 28th audit, and has been unresponsive to inquiries from the firm. Moreover, evidence suggested that Abeytia had directed $33,000 to Gumption Consulting LLC, a company run by Ricardo Serna, with whom Abeytia is in a "civil union," according to her Facebook page.
