Hamadeh Roots for Kash Patel's Confirmation, 'Can't Think of Anybody Better' to Lead FBI

Representative Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) rooted for Kash Patel's confirmation as FBI Director in a recent appearance on Just the News's John Solomon Reports podcast, saying, "I cannot think of anybody better to lead that agency."

Rep. Hamadeh described how "it has been a long time coming to have somebody as serious as Kash" as FBI Director before delving into Patel's rise to prominence. He said Patel was "apolitical until 2017, up until he was tasked by [former] Congressman Devin Nunes to look into the Russia collusion hoax."

As TIME Magazine explained, Patel initially wanted to turn down working with Nunes to investigate the FBI's Russian collusion probes but supposedly changed his mind after Nunes promised Patel a job in Trump's first Presidential term.

What the now-FBI Director nominee found was "an over-reliance on salacious opposition research memos about Trump that had been paid for by allies of Hillary Clinton and written by former British MI6 spy Christopher Steele."

As a result, Patel quickly began asserting that the FBI's investigations were politically motivated.

Hence why, Rep. Hamadeh said that "the Deep State really attacked him for finding out the truth and for exposing the lies. It shows you that the FBI needs serious reform."

Moreover, the Arizona Congressman mocked Democrats' intense questioning of Patel as evidence of them being "very concerned about an honest man leading the FBI because Kash is a great friend of mine. I cannot think of anybody better to lead that agency."

Hamadeh further asserted that Patel's honesty is "why you see so many rank-and-file FBI agents wanting him to go in there and clean up the mess because the vast majority of FBI agents are good people and want leadership at the top, and you see local law enforcement endorse Kash Patel as well."

Finally, Hamadeh expressed excitement at the prospect of Patel's confirmation to reform the FBI and "hold those accountable who have totally destroyed the trust with the American people."
