With the Arizona primary behind us, the ongoing battle for Senator Kyrsten Sinema's (I-AZ) seat between Kari Lake (R) and Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) is starting to enter the home stretch. This race, which holds significant implications for the future of Arizona, is currently seeing Rep. Gallego regaining his average lead over Lake, according to recent polls.
In our last update, the average lead the Arizona Democrat held over the one-time Republican gubernatorial candidate seemed to shrink several points. Both Real Clear Politics and 270 to Win dropped the average from approximately 6% to just 3% for Real Clear Politics and 5.3% for 270 to Win, with an average of 4% across all of the most recent polls.
New polls released since July 24th appear to have put some wind in Rep. Gallego's sails, for a new Emerson College poll released on July 25th puts him at 46% to Lake's 42%. That does not seem like much, but when combined with a Redfield and Wilton survey run from July 31st to August 3rd, giving him a 6% lead and a HighGround, Inc. poll from July 31st to August 5th placing him a whopping 50% to a 39% Lake, those three polls boost Gallego's average lead to 7%.

Nevertheless, the Lake campaign has not been deterred. Despite the recent polls, Lake remains steadfast in her commitment to her supporters and her vision for Arizona. She recently spoke of her plans after winning the Republican nomination, demonstrating her resilience and determination.
"We have been hyper-focused on Ruben Gallego, the most radical liberal Democrat to ever run for any office in this country. He is trying to now moderate himself, but the problem for him is he has got a very long voting record. Ten years in Congress that have been absolutely disastrous. He has voted with Biden and Kamala [Harris] 100% of the time, he supported the open border, sanctuary cities, [and] he marched in defund the police rallies. This man is truly radical," said Lake.
