America is abuzz with the news of former President Donald Trump's guilty verdict in his New York "hush money" trial, with Republicans coming out in full force to support him. Arizona House candidate Abe Hamadeh (R), who is running for Representative Debbie Lesko's (R-AZ) seat, condemned the verdict in an appearance on Garret Lewis's Morning Ritual show, calling it "a dark day in history."

X (formerly Twitter) account Abe Hamadeh War Room posted the clip, where Hamadeh said his reaction to the trial was the same as Lewis's but was also the reaction of "every other American that is paying attention that our legal system has been destroyed because of the Biden Administration."

"Make no mistake here," Hamadeh continued, "this is a Biden trial against President Trump," noting multiple facts about the case, such as the lead prosecutor being a former member of the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) and the previous decisions to decline in prosecuting the case before by the Federal Elections Committee (FEC) and former New York District Attorney Cy Brown.

Does Texas have a constitutional right to defy Supreme Court on protecting its border?

"It's a sham. Everybody knows it is a sham, Garret, and that is what is so devastating as a veteran and as a former prosecutor: We are witnessing the destruction of our country right before our very eyes because we both know that the only thing that unites us regardless of how wealthy we are or what your race is, is the rule of law," said Hamadeh.

The Arizona House candidate further derided the Biden Administration as an "illegitimate regime" that jails its political opposition, and while "it is a dark day in history," Hamadeh was also optimistic, saying Americans are seeing the trial as weaponized against Trump.

"This is the wakening up of movements, waking up a sleeping giant that is the American people, and they are going to be the ultimate arbiters of justice on November 5," Hamadeh concluded.

Trump made a similar statement after the conviction, "This was a rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be November 5 by the people, and they know what happened here, and everybody knows what happened here."
