Lake Continues to Receive Endorsements, Wants to Reconcile with McCain Family

The Senate campaign for Kari Lake continues to gain momentum as she gains endorsements from Republicans, even those with whom she has disagreed. In a recent appearance on Fox News, Lake discussed her efforts to seek a united front among Republicans, saying it has been "going wonderfully," and hoped to reconcile with Meghan McCain, daughter of the late Senator John McCain (R-AZ).

When asked if gaining the support of non-Trump conservatives as a staunch supporter of his was difficult, Lake said it was not.

"That is called being an American who wants to engage in discourse and solve problems. And so I have reached out to a lot of people, and guess what? It is going wonderfully," Lake added, further noting that not only are people willing to support her, but ask how they can help.

As of this writing, Lake's list of endorsements has continued to grow. At the beginning of March, she scored the endorsements of Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), and Senator Jim Risch (R-ID).

Recently, she received two more from Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) and Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY).

Despite these gains, Lake has yet to persuade the family of the late Senator John McCain (R-AZ). While she trashed him in the past, Lake has sought to mend fences with McCain's daughter Meghan, who nevertheless rejected the offer.

However, Lake remains confident that "it is never too late to mend fences. I believe in forgiveness, and I believe that it is important to ask for forgiveness."

"I would love nothing more than to have the support of every single voter in Arizona, and I have reached out to the McCains and I have asked Meghan McCain to sit down and have a cup of coffee or have lunch together. We are both mothers and as a mother, I am horrified by what the future looks like right now for my children. I am sure that Meghan McCain feels the same way," Lake concluded.
