Climate Change Debate Heats Up Politics, Again

While birds continue to drop their "love" on you cars and homes, the sky isn't really falling, yet.

The argument about whether or not Global warming is man-made has been raging on in politics ever since former Vice President Al Gore said he invented the internet.

While that statement was funny, it’s not accurate, at least not completely accurate.

Gore and many others, including some Republican legislators, have been saying that global temperatures are rising because of man, and not by historic temperature trends that some scientist point to as being the cause of any and all global temperature changes.

The global warming is getting a new “fresh air” of life not that Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States come January 2017.

With that said, a recent story by Breitbart News, the alleged “Alt-Right” and “White Supremacists” media outlet, is make those “global warming alarmist” quake in their boots with disgust.

The story headlined “Global Temperatures Plunge. Icy Silence from Climate Alarmists” points out the following:

Global land temperatures have plummeted by one degree Celsius since the middle of this year – the biggest and steepest fall on record.

But the news has been greeted with an eerie silence by the world’s alarmist community. You’d almost imagine that when temperatures shoot up it’s catastrophic climate change which requires dramatic headlines across the mainstream media and demands for urgent action. But that when they fall even more precipitously it’s just a case of “nothing to see here”.

The cause of the fall is a La Nina event following in the wake of an unusual strong El Nino.

Big El Ninos always have an immense impact on world weather, triggering higher than normal temperatures over huge swathes of the world. The 2015-16 El Nino was probably the strongest since accurate measurements began, with the water up to 3C warmer than usual.

It has now been replaced by a La Nina event – when the water in the same Pacific region turns colder than normal.

This also has worldwide impacts, driving temperatures down rather than up.

The satellite measurements over land respond quickly to El Nino and La Nina. Temperatures over the sea are also falling, but not as fast, because the sea retains heat for longer.

This means it is possible that by some yardsticks, 2016 will be declared as hot as 2015 or even slightly hotter – because El Nino did not vanish until the middle of the year.

You can only imaging how Democrats are enraged over this story.

Again, climate change, which has been highly politicized by both Republicans and Democrats, does happen.

There are naysayers on both sides of the argument, who tend to cite their own know-all mad scientists about that really causes climate change.

Its obvious that transportation emissions are man-made, and that human-caused water and environment pollution occurs far too often.

Heck, my neighbor just dump some motor oil into a hole in his backyard, so it does happen.

With Trump at the helm, Democrats will have more than their fair share of opportunities to take whacks at him just like Republicans did to President Obama.

 Everything Trump says and does will be called into questioned and attacked, and the media will gleefully promote the discourse, which usually means that they will side with those so-called “climate alarmist.”

Liberal Democrats like Arizona Representatives Ruben Gallego and Raul Grijalva will surely continue their seemingly daily mano-a-mano smackdown of Trump and his administration.

Gallego followed up that twee with this twee about how the taxpayer dollars should be spent clean water for the city of Flint, Michigan, and to "combat" climate change. To be fair to both sides, Gallego is right, but why hasn't the Obama Administration done more than they have for these two issues. The President, like he has done before, could pull out his pen and make something happen, at least for Flint.

 

One thing is for sure about climate change is that Trump changed the climate in Washington, D.C.

Trump is the best thing to happen to the media, ever.
