Arizona Officials Commemorate October 7th Massacres

Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), Representative Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ), and State Representative Matt Gress (R-4) commemorated the massacres of October 7th, 2023, in Israel on social media.

"Three years ago today, Hamas carried out a horrific terrorist attack on Israel, murdering more than 1,200 people and taking hostages," wrote Sen. Gallego, adding, "We remember the innocent lives lost, stand with their families, and reaffirm that Hamas must be held accountable for its crimes."

Similarly, Rep. Hamadeh posted, "Today we mark a hard anniversary: three years since Hamas and its allies crossed into Israel and slaughtered more than 1,200 men, women, and children in their homes, at a music festival, and on the roads."

"Forty-nine of the dead were Americans," Rep. Hamadeh emphasized. "We mourn with the families who still carry that day. We also refuse to minimize what happened. This was not a clash or a protest. It was a planned massacre by terrorists who filmed their own crimes."

"The United States does not stand alone in the world, and it does not look away when Americans and our allies are murdered. We grieve, and we stay resolved against radical terror wherever it shows itself," Hamadeh concluded.

Finally, State Rep. Gress posted, "Today marks three years since the horrific October 7th attacks in Israel."

"We remember the innocent lives taken, the families forever changed, and the Jewish community that continues to carry the pain of that day," State Rep. Gress added. "I will always stand with our Jewish community—and with the forces of light against the armies of darkness."

Last October, President Donald Trump secured the release of the 20 surviving hostages taken that horrific day, which marked the end of hostilities that followed in the wake of the attacks.

"We have built industries together, we have made discoveries together, we have confronted evil... and perhaps most beautifully of all, we have made PEACE together. And this week, against all odds, we have done the IMPOSSIBLE, and brought our hostages home," President Trump declared in a statement.
