Abe Hamadeh Says MAGA is the Only Way for Republicans Going Forward

Representative Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) recently suggested that embracing MAGA is the only way for Republicans to get elected moving forward in a recent appearance on The Afternoon Addiction with Garret Lewis.

The SAVE America Act in the Senate

Lewis began the discussion by asking Rep. Hamadeh why Senate Republicans are refusing to advance the SAVE America Act, asking if it's because they are "in on the take," "too nice," or "too weak."

"They are too nice, they are too weak," Rep. Hamadeh replied. "They are the ones who thought President Trump legitimately lost in 2020, and then they thought that he was never going to make a comeback in 2024. It's that same crew, and they are going away, by the way."

Shifting Attitudes in the Senate

The Arizona congressman suggested that many House Republicans are very much in line with President Trump, but because Senators serve six years, "it is kind of hard to remove some of these sitting Senators because they have a little bit longer time. But in the end, it is becoming much more MAGA."

Hamadeh cites the success of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's Senate campaign to replace Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) as evidence that the tide is turning, and thus he wants the audience to "realize there is so much progress happening."

"The fact that we are even fighting, every single Republican is fighting for election integrity in Washington, D.C., should make every Arizonan proud because we led the charge back in 2020 with the audit," Hamadeh continued. "We were the ones called crazies, election deniers, threats to democracy, and we all held out."

As a result, he reiterated, "I want people to see the positive of what is happening in Washington because it is. I mean, just give it a few more years. I'm telling you, it is going to be America First. MAGA is the only type of candidate that can win as a Republican."
