Commissioner David Weingot Announces Surfside Selected to Host FIFA VIP Guests and World Cup Final Watch Party

SURFSIDE, FL — As the world turns its attention to South Florida for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Surfside is proud to play a prominent role on the international stage. Commissioner David Weingot announced that the Town of Surfside has been selected to host FIFA VIP guests and international dignitaries throughout the tournament, further solidifying the town’s reputation as a premier global destination. With its pristine beaches, exceptional hospitality, vibrant local businesses, and unique community character, Surfside offers an ideal setting for international visitors and sports leaders from around the world.

Commissioner Weingot also announced that Surfside will host a community beach watch party for the FIFA World Cup Final on Sunday, July 19, 2026. The event will provide residents, families, and visitors with an opportunity to come together and celebrate the conclusion of one of the world’s most significant sporting events. Additional details regarding the watch party will be released in the coming months.
