Abe Hamadeh Condemns Democrats for 'Spiraling into Complete Insanity' Over Iran

Representative Abe Hamdeh (R-AZ) is celebrating the unexpected ceasefire between the United States and Iran announced Tuesday night on social media, while also condemning Democrats for "spiraling into complete insanity" over President Donald Trump's earlier threats to the Iranian regime.

"While the mainstream media and the radical left spent the last 48 hours spiraling into complete insanity over President Trump's strong rhetoric, our Commander-in-Chief and this administration worked meticulously to deliver a much-needed ceasefire in the Iranian conflict," Rep. Hamadeh posted.

Rep. Hamadeh emphasized that the United States had "achieved every single one of our military objectives, removed key Iranian leadership from the battlefield, and reopened the Strait of Hormuz to commerce and safe passage." "This is nothing more than an unmitigated success, and yet another powerful reminder that President Trump understands a fundamental truth: achieving the art of the deal on the international stage is impossible without peace through strength," he concluded.

Trump previously warned that if Iran did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday, April 7th, at 8pm Eastern Time, "a whole civilization will die tonight," which Democrats quickly labeled a threat of genocide and war crimes.

Calls for impeachment and invocation of the 25th Amendment soon followed, and detractors argued that Trump had proved himself mentally unfit for office by his words. However, just hours after the ceasefire was announced, the Iranian regime has allegedly violated it already, continuing to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed, although the Trump White House has called the reports false.

Iran is also accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire by continuing its operations against Hezbollah, a known Iranian proxy, and further accusing the United States of violating clauses found within the negotiation agreement.

Until more details are confirmed, Democrats and Republicans will continue issuing statements about the conflict.
