Jake Hoffman Condemns Katie Hobbs' Veto of Charlie Kirk Memorial License Plate

State Senator Jake Hoffman (R-15) criticized Governor Katie Hobbs (D-AZ) in a recent appearance on Fox and Friends First for her veto of a bill authorizing the creation and distribution of Arizona license plates commemorating assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Sharing an excerpt of the interview on social media, State Sen. Hoffman wrote, "Appreciate @FOXandFriends having me on to discuss Katie Hobbs' disgusting veto of Arizona's Charlie Kirk Memorial License Plate."

"Hobbs' true colors are exposed — rabid partisanship, gross incompetence, petulant political games, and a far-Left extremism that's destroying our state," he added.

Gov. Hobbs explained that the plate "falls short" of "bringing people together," only for State Sen. Hoffman to quip, "The only thing that falls short, unfortunately, is Katie Hobbs' track record of actively tying to unite the people of Arizona."

State Sen. Hoffman reminded viewers that the Charlie Kirk memorial service filled two stadiums, and lauded Turning Point USA as having a "global impact, reaching all the way from South Korea to London."

"When he passed away, there is not doubt that he was a uniter," Hoffman continued.

Notably, previous special license plates advocating conservative causes and organizations, such as the Arizona Life Coalition and the Alliance Defending Freedom, have been created.

Hoffman suggested that Gov. Hobbs takes issue with a Charlie Kirk license plate because "Katie Hobbs has been petty and partisan in everything that she has done," citing her history of appointees and extensive vetoing of conservative bills. "She is nakedly partisan, and this is why we have to make sure that there is a new governor elected," he concluded, "come this November, hopefully."

The Arizona State Senator previously condemned Hobbs in July, after allegations of her engagement in a pay-for-play scheme with Department of Economic Security (DES) official Dana Allmond surfaced.
