Biggs, Hamadeh Praise Newest Border Numbers

Representatives Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) celebrated recent border crossing and entry statistics in posts to X (formerly Twitter).

According to The Daily Signal, only 6,070 people were encountered by Border Patrol agents in June, and none of them were released into the United States. Moreover, the monthly total is approximately half of the number encountered under the Biden Administration in a single day.

Rep. Biggs posted a clip from his recent appearance on Real America's Voice's Just the News, No Noise, saying, "President Trump's Border Patrol did not release a single illegal alien into the country during the month of May. Conservatives said it all along: we never needed new laws to secure the border. We needed a Commander in Chief to enforce the law."

Within the clip, Rep. Biggs further stated, "[Trump] has been better than I ever thought he would be, and he was absolutely correct, and you knew it, I knew it. It was a necessity of enforcement."

"And when he came out publicly and strongly said, 'We are going to enforce the law,' all of a sudden, people did not want to get sent back home. They did not want to pay five thousand to ten thousand dollars to the cartels to come and then be immediately be detained and then sent home," the Arizona Congressman continued. "And yeah, so when you say he exceeded my expectations, boy, howdy, he sure did."

Similarly, Rep. Hamadeh said in his post, "Two consecutive months with ZERO illegal immigrants let into our country. Amazing. What a difference a President makes."

The news comes as Congress continues finalizing the so-called "Big Beautiful Bill," which includes a substantial funding increase for immigration enforcement activities and introduces new fee structures for specific immigration applications. On Tuesday, the Senate passed the bill, which will return to the House of Representatives for final alterations before being signed by President Trump.
