Hamadeh Condemns Iran Targeting Israeli Hospital, Trusts Trump to Negotiate Peace

Representative Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) condemned the recent bombing of the Soroka Hospital in Israel by Iran in a recent statement, placing his trust in President Donald Trump to restore peace to the Middle East.

As Cactus Politics previously covered, an Iranian missile struck the hospital located near Beer Sheva as part of its campaign of indiscriminate bombing.

"Khamenei openly declares that he wants Israel destroyed; he personally gives the order to fire on hospitals," said Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, adding, "He considers the destruction of the state of Israel to be a goal...such a man can no longer be allowed to exist."

Rep. Hamadeh, in his recent remarks, is no less volatile, saying, "The Iranian regime's deliberate attack on an Israeli civilian hospital is despicable. Israel is a multi-ethnic/multi-religious country with Jews, Arabs, Bedouins, Muslims, Druze, and Christians as its citizens."

"They serve in the Knesset [Israeli Parliament], they serve in the IDF [Israeli Defense Forces], and they are a part of the fabric of society," Rep. Hamadeh continued, adding, " Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic of Iran is a theocracy run by a crazed Ayatollah who brutally oppresses minorities, crushes dissent, and seeks the death of Americans."

The Arizona Congressman further accused Iran of having "evil intentions," as "Israel continues to hit military sites exclusively while the Iranian regime targets civilian sites in Israel."

"The Middle East deserves peace, and that means a nuclear-free Iran," Hamadeh concluded. "President Trump achieved what no president ever delivered in the region, PEACE – through the Abraham Accords. I have full confidence that our Commander in Chief, President Donald Trump, will ensure the safety of our people and our interests."

President Trump recently announced he had approved a plan of attack on Iran but has not given the final go-ahead, saying he will wait two weeks for developments.

On Friday, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei mocked the two-week window in recent remarks, saying, "The very fact that the American friends of the Zionist regime are entering the scene and speaking out is a sign of the latter's weakness and impotence."
