The Trump administration has just announced that it will begin to expel or revoke the visas of Chinese students studying at U.S. colleges and universities.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on social media that Chinese students would have their visas revoked, including "those with connections" to the Chinese government.
"?The U.S. will begin revoking visas of Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields," stated Secretary Rubio.
Secretary Rubio's remark echoes President Donald Trump's ongoing, no-tolerance immigration policy.
Earlier this year, the administration announced that it would deport pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas students.
Rubio originally floated the idea of revoking Hamas sympathizers’ visas prior to joining the State Department and reaffirmed his support for the program.
“When you come to the United States as a visitor, which is what a visa is... we can deny you that visa... and if you end up having a green card, and you're here engaging in those activities, we're going to kick you out,” said Secretary Rubio.
Trump's 'Catch and Revoke' policy is in full swing.
