Biggs Demands DOGE Uncover Planned Parenthood Finances

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) demanded the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) dig into the finances of Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, in a recent letter, saying that "American taxpayers should never be forced to fund abortion or the cozy lifestyles of the managers and directors of the abortion industry."

In a brief letter to DOGE leader Elon Musk, Rep. Biggs noted that Planned Parenthood received $700 million in taxpayer funds in the 2022-2023 fiscal year, "representing about 34% of their annual revenue; meanwhile, its executives pocket outrageous salaries."

"A recent report reveals that Planned Parenthood affiliate CEOs are making well into the six figures, with some earning nearly a million dollars per year, while the organization continues to kill unborn children," Rep. Biggs continued.

The Arizona Congressman said that DOGE's efforts to "challenge corruption and expose powerful institutions" mean they are suited to investigate Planned Parenthood's finances, "particularly how it justifies exorbitant executive salaries as the nation's largest abortion provider."

The Daily Wire covered Biggs's letter, noting that Planned Parenthood's executives received an 11% pay raise between 2020 and 2023, from $317,564 to $352,661, which means its CEOs are making three times as much as the average CEO of a nonprofit company.

Biggs has recently called for investigations and oversight in other areas, asking FBI Director Kash Patel to investigate the Democrats' primary fundraising organization, ActBlue, for alleged misconduct, including "zombie donors," in mid-March.

"It must be emphasized that these allegations, were they to prove true, would indicate a serious threat to the integrity of our elections, besides the victimization of American citizens," he said.

Later in March, the Arizona Congressman called on Patel to investigate the recent string of arsons and vandalism of Tesla vehicles as domestic terror activities.

"Of course, these despicable acts are growing in an organized way to intimidate ordinary citizens who simply own a car manufactured by Tesla. Those behind this conspiracy of violence are now trying to dox Tesla owners and are encouraging vandalism and violence," said Biggs in the late March letter.
