The 2024 Arizona senate race ended in defeat for Kari Lake, and she's opening up about what could've been done differently. The race was hotly contested, but Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego (D) emerged victorious despite President Donald Trump (R) carrying Arizona across the electoral finish line. Lake is now placing some blame on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R), saying he didn't provide much financial help in her senate race.
Earlier this month, Lake addressed her supporters in a video released on social media, thanking the "movement of love" that wanted to see her join the senate. The race between Rep. Gallego and Lake decided who would replace outgoing Senator Kirsten Sinema (I), and both candidates were aggressive on the campaign trail.
In a discussion with Steve Bannon, Lake referenced an alleged "war chest" of $400 million that is deducted to electing conservative senatorial candidates. She argues that some of the money was used on candidates, but others, like herself, were isolated from that financial boost.

"We could've used the help," she lamented.
"I was hoping that eventually we would get some of that money. I know they were spending it in places like Maryland where it was a blow-out defeat of the Republican running, Larry Hogan, and unfortunately we didn't get any money," she commented.
However, according to her, this isn't the first time that an Arizona candidate doesn't receive financial support from the "war chest." In 2022, when Blake Masters unsuccessfully ran for the senate, he allegedly didn't receive any financial help either.
"They didn't give Blake Masters any money in the last go around," she said, adding "it is what it is, and we can't go back in time. It's very unfortunate."
In a recent interview, Lake commented on her political future, saying that she's time the holidays to relax after a difficult campaign season, and she plans to make a decision on what the future holds for her.
